They didn’t kill Socrates. He chose to die. =)

  2. ThePintsizeslasher says:

Also. The free market is not a “system.” It’s just used to describe what is, what emerges. Ppl pursue their self interests, but not through murder and theft, but cooperation, bc its less risky, and allows for specialization of labor. The market is just a word to define this phenomenon of human interaction. it’s not corporate giants coming at, it’s not Wall st. coming to rape you. Corporations as we know them today are direct products of the state

  3. ThePintsizeslasher says:

    Ideological state:

  4. ThePintsizeslasher says:

Also, crime is cheaper. Is it cheaper to steal a TV or buy it.? Crime is high bc it is subsidized by the state in the drug war, prohibition of prostitution and gambling.

Watch the videos. And no I can’t choose a politicians policies. I can “choose” my master, but I can’t have a choice to not have one. Once hes in power he does what he wants. I never signed a contract with anyone from the govt, yet they expect me to give up a chunk of my income to them. I said it was a fantasy to not expect them to abuse their power, not the system itself. People ideologically believe in the state. That is what allows them to acquire power and abuse it:

  6. ThePintsizeslasher says:

Cheaper to cooperate than use aggression as you put it. Mercenaries, unlike soldiers, don’t have illusions of patriotism, fighting for a cause, or glory. They kill people and break things. Which is dangerous and specialized. No mercenary will take grunt Army pay. What are the rewards in war? What has Afghanistan given us? Iraq ha kept the supply of oil down and the petro dollar intact, but that wouldnt be a problem if there wasnt a monopoly on money supply.

  7. itsfreeandeasy123456 says:

I agree that we live under a shit system and many of your points are true “6. All those things you listed” roads, hospitals, police” are handled horribly.”
but I don’t agree that free market is a better system, I don’t think that it is even a workable system.

  8. itsfreeandeasy123456 says:

    6. Prove free interaction “will be” better other than your hypothesis.
    7. You can choose his polices just as much as you can choose a businesses policies.
8.Why cant you opt out of a business contract.?
9.Well its not a fantasy that’s they way it is. and it would be the same as a large business competing for power and then not expecting them to abuse it.
11.I agree. and what do you think will stop businesses in a free market using such underhanded tactics.

  9. itsfreeandeasy123456 says:

Stop making points that dont exist.
Aggression is looked down on in an IMAGINARY free market.
    1. its cheaper to cooperate than what? If that then why does crime exist(because often its not)
    2. Yeah how much? how much do you have to pay a starving man to fight when its his only hope at survival
    3. But so are the rewards
4 ?s there a state in a free market because from reading into it there is none.
    5. So these people in a free market are different from the people now? Its one racket or another.

  10. ThePintsizeslasher says:

    11. The reason you are colluding business and state is bc in modern day fascistic economy, private companies use the state as a tool to get ahead in the market. Large corporations often lobby the state for protectionist barriers to enrty in markets, subsidies, no-bid contracts, allowing their business to expand beyond market means.

  11. ThePintsizeslasher says:

…”nation building” policies of the Clinton administration. Look what happened once he got power.
    8. Why can’t I simply opt out of it? Why do I have no choice but to be ruled by the state? If they’re a business, why can’t I choose to not pay them?
    9. I think it’s a fantasy to put a small group of people authority over everyone else-a monopoly on force-and expect them to not abuse their power.

  12. ThePintsizeslasher says:

…giving up their labor to fund it. W/o the extortion racket it’s hard to fund war.
    5. It’s difficult to operate a large extortion racket if the ppl do not believe you are necessary. They’ll just see you as a thug. They’ll resist, or hire some agency to protect hem
    6. All those things you listed” roads, hospitals, police” are handled horribly. Free interaction will produce better results
    7. I can’t choose it’s policies. Bush was elected in2000 by being critical of “policing the world” and…

  13. ThePintsizeslasher says:

“If you dont like your government you can vote for a diffrent party.”
Choosing a person-who was chosen by a cabal of the politically and economically connected-to rule over me from two state-backed “parties” doesn’t sound ideal to me. There is nothing the state handles that people cannot handle. Aggression is looked down on and hard to do in a free market bc:
    1. It’s cheaper to cooperate
    2. Mercenaries are expensive.
    3. War is expensive
    4. War is funded by ppl believing in the state, willingly..

  14. itsfreeandeasy123456 says:

If you dont like your government you can vote for a diffrent party.
The buissnes you are talking about provides hospitals, police stations, roads, social security, the fire brigade search and rescue services.
If you dont like it the current buissnes you are useing it allows you to choose its polices by voting.
I think this free econamy idea is a fantasy world were every body competes fairly and all noone would dare try and appose it with agresion.

  15. itsfreeandeasy123456 says:

I dont need a dictionary to know what they are, i use my eyes and look at the world around me.
Of course there are differences im just saying the similaritys outweigh the differences in the points that are being made in this chat.

  16. RationalBullets says:

    Umm. No.

Look up in the dictionary what a government is, then look up what a business is. Then if you still don’t quite get it, make a Venn Diagram and work it out.

  17. ThePintsizeslasher says:

Yeah change one extortion racket for another. The difference lies in that one relies on it’s monopoly of force while the other provides choice. I can choose to shop at Wal-Mart or target, Safeway or Whole Foods. I have uproot my life and start anew if I don’t like the forced barriers to entry in a certain area, to one that is tolerable. I can’t say “Hay US federal govt? I’d like to not be ruled by you. So I’ll stop payments” And then after I don’t pay for long enough they throw me in rape rooms.

  18. ThePintsizeslasher says:

The difference being one is an extortion racket and one influences the extortion racket to raise forced barriers to entry to secure it’s hegemony in the market. States hold monopolies on the use of force with a geographic area. Firms not bound by geography, competing for consumers for force will keep each other in check. The best way to keep businessmen from going after you is to eliminate the monopoly on who points the guns, and set them against each other.

  19. itsfreeandeasy123456 says:

Haha im sorry if i gave you that impression. I am anti government but i believe that the government can be changed just as easily as you chose you your telephone or electricity company.
and that the government is decisions are made by business men any way (Bribery).
To me, private company and the government rip me off the same so what would be the difference of having free market.

  20. ExquisiteDoom says:

It’s not that i can’t it’s that i don’t want to get into a debate with someone who clearly thinks the government is an institution for the people. If it’s corrupt here, can’t it be that it’s just as corrupt anywhere else? that’s why i don’t want to debate with you, because i would need to shift your whole ideology so that you understand what is going on, rather than shit that was crammed in your head. I don’t take what people tell me at face value, so don’t give me that cornball horseshit.

  21. itsfreeandeasy123456 says:

You are not going to debate me as i can see that you are unable to make a valid point.
If as you say i dont know the first thing about the world you would easily be able to shoot down my arguments logically and using evidence.
But you are unable to do so, saying to me that ether i am right or that you have no knowledge of what you are talking about or you lack the ability to use logic and reason.

  22. ExquisiteDoom says:

yea, okay i can’t possibly debate someone who doesn,t know the first thing about the world. Have your own debate.

  23. itsfreeandeasy123456 says:

buissnes and government are the same.
They both want the same thing.
if you dont want the service your government provides move to a country who provides a better service.

  24. itsfreeandeasy123456 says:

There is good reason we have NEVER EVER HAD a free market it wont work, if it did it would be here.

Oh i see you cant fight my arguments so you are now attacking me. good work.

Make some points and back them up, try baseing them on logic and reasoning.

  25. itsfreeandeasy123456 says:

you can choose your governments you can go to different countrys (can you not).
if your chosen form of government (company ) has enough voters (subscribers) it will come to power
big buissness controle the government (who paid for obamas election campain?
